Yes, very much so! Although it depends what history subjects you do, economics is a crucial part of most of the modules and it would have really helped me with my history a level, and subsequent history degree. My politics teacher was also the school sociology teacher and there is generally so much overlap between a lot of the humanities subjects.
Because they are such versatile subjects, it can take you into a lot of degrees, there are obviously the more well-known ones, but a lot of humanities students end up in areas like marketing or HR work. But really, with the skills you gain from these, there are so many options.
