State Educated Alumni Careers Help

So I've come to the horrible realisation that privately educated and wealthy students have a huge advantage in careers even at the same uni, same course.

For example a coursemate (STEM @ top 10 uni) of mine had relatives at Goldman and one of the big 4 and got references to both for spring weeks. Dad also was a consultant for a big 4.

Another one had their mum get them an internship at Amex before uni. Many have school friend connections at hedge funds.

Meanwhile I have no family connections, no school connections, etc. My school gave me awful work experience on a construction site. Great. They didn't inform anyone of SEO London, the Brokerage, upReach, etc. Incompetent.

How do I help my school and other poor state educated students?

Now that you have this knowledge of places to go for support, get in touch with your school to see if they can promote these opportunities and inform them. They might not know about these programmes and how they can help students
