Is it worth putting in special circumstances?

Hi all,

I have had some ongoing health stuff which I am still awaiting a consultant appointment for.

Tutor knows situation and because I was playing catch up give me a one week extension on my final TMA so that’s due Tuesday and this leaves me 3 full weeks to do my EMA.

Would putting a special circumstances form still be worth it?

I don’t have much evidence because the GP has said he would charge me £35 for a letter and he couldn’t add much in as I now fall under “pending review by specialist”.

All I have is a 10 day fit note I used for work in July and a copy of a referral confirmation the hospital sent saying they received the referral and I should hear by middle of Sept.

I’m just assuming without more evidence it wouldn’t help anyway?

Side note, I have done well so far..

TMA 1 - 90
TMA 2 - 85
TMA 3 - 75
TMA 4 - 83
ICMA - 100
You might as well. It can't hurt and might help. Better to send something and be left wondering whether it made any difference, vs sending nothing and being left wondering whether it could have made a difference.

Check the rules for your module. An special circumstances form might only help if you want to repeat or take a later EMA. It's unlikely it'll improve your mark.

You might find that you've enough marks that you can skip TMA05 though, so you could just focus on your EMA now.

Thanks for the responses. I wanted to give TMA5 a go at least so I have done so and plan to submit later today.

Looking forward to finishing the module with the EMA and starting my next module in October.
