A-Levels and CAO points for Irish Unis
Anyone else from England applying to Irish Universities? I’m totally freaked out by the drop in grades here and the impact it will have on my CAO points. I should have had A*A*A but got AAA—which seems great but I don’t think will be enough points. It’s crazy and I’m so sad.
Yes and Irish Cert scores have been inflated this year so they are comparable with 2022 scores. CAO should be making adjustments to A Level scores to ensure a level playing field for next week's offers, but this is not happening. It is unfair on the thousands of UK students who applied to Irish Universities in good faith earlier this year.
