Nearly 60/64 is awfully high (based on other cutoffs I've seen). So someone could have a 3600 UCAT, 99988888 and not get an interview haha that's wild.

last year 8s and 9s were scored the same though, so they would've done

I got 58.5, if 9s and 8s are scored differently this year do I still have a chance?

maybe, because there's less grade inflation now too, but it still would be a bit of a risk.

Hi,
I got 2630 UCAT and SJT Band 1. I got 14 A*s at GCSE (im from wales). I'm guessing I got 26 points for UCAT and 24 or 32 points for GCSE (does A* mean 8 or 9?)
Either way my total score would be 50 or 58. Would 58 be competitive for interview at Leicester?

Thanks

A* would be 9
cutoff was 59.5, check for contextual criteria, otherwise risky

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. What contextual criteria do they consider if you dont mind me asking?

i've checked and it looks like they only consider contextual criteria to distinguish between borderline applicants. they just say POLAR, ucat bursary, lower achieving schools

yes, @Medpapa posted Leicesters cutoffs and I believe it was 58 for contextual?

if i'm understanding correctly, i think it probably wasn't a universal 58 cutoff for contextual, but rather a few people who got 58 were invited to interview based on having contextual flags, perhaps similar to manchester's holistic route? because i think some people with 59 did get interviews as well, non contextual.

If I got 60/64 is that safe considering scoring has changed

Hi so I got eight grade 9s and two 8s at GCSE but 2640 Band 2. Is it worth applying to Leicester?
