Good evening. I have accepted my offer to study Chemistry at the University of York and I was just wondering whether I will have to purchase my own lab coat/safety goggles etc. before the term starts or whether they will be provided or whether we will be advised on what to purchase closer to the time? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi!
Safety goggles are definitely provided free of charge at the beginning of your first year and if damaged, are replaced free of charge. I have checked with a friend of mine who studies Chemistry at York and they believe that lab coats are also free of charge.
