Nottingham vs Cardiff

Which of these universities have the better student life?
Being that Nottingham is in the midlands and surrounded by universities, I’m assuming student life is more fun and there are more events.

I know Cardiff is the capital, but is there a lot going on there?

Cardiff student here!

I was actually in a similar position between Cardiff and Nottingham. As you can see, I chose Cardiff based on the affordability of the city, hectic nightlife, regular significant concerts and easy access to Bristol/London with a bunch of airports to travel. These are both great universities so I think it's about (after considering which course you prefer), which university suits your budget and desired lifestyle the most. There is plenty of events at Cardiff, both within the city and hosted by the university. Cardiff student union is noted as one of the best student unions in the UK - there is always something happening.
