To do list/calender recommendations?

I'm going to Cambridge to start my course later this month, and I'm starting my planning for freshers' week and all that. I used to use Todoist to add events and tasks, then integrate them and view them on Google Calender. I liked that I could treat events and everything else as a task to be crossed out on todoist, with priorities & categories, and that I could view them in a calender view in Google so I can manage my schedule.

The problem however, is that pro is a bit too pricy for me and there's a lot going on in freshers week that I really need a 'duration' function plus reminders, which isn't available in the basic todoist version. With just google calender, I can't cross out events nor set priorities etc, so that's just not enough. Another thing is that I'm not sure what the Cambridge admins use for like timetables? (esp after finding out the email is Outlook) And I need something that lets me see both school and personal events in one calender (but categorised/labelled) so I can arrange my schedules. Any recommendations would be great, thanks!

I've not used it myself, but I've heard Plan is decent for the sort of thing you're describing, and it seems to have Outlook integration. Could be worth looking into? https://getplan.co/login (terrible one to try and find reviews for though, given how generic the name is )
