Are you referring to the Central Board of Secondary Education in India?
When UK universities state a requirement for GCSE subjects, they will typically provide the equivalents for international students. For example, this is how University of Surrey map between UK and Indian qualifications (scroll down to the "Minimum standard in English and mathematics" section). Don't rely upon this exclusively though - check the web site of each UK university to which you would be applying, as they may not all treat international qualifications in the same way.
