Is the OU the only online degree provider?

The Open University is great, but I was wondering if there are any other online degree providers?
There are others but for undergraduate the others are often not very good.

Most online providers are private profit making companies that don’t offer a good experience.

I would mention the main culprit but their official rep account will probably appear to spout marketing ******** at you.

What is it that you want to study?
Is there a reason that you don’t want to study with OU?

I would love to study with the OU, but I want to know all my options before any decisions are made.

Arden have a good reputation, and a lot of other universities offer online courses now, more so since Covid. It's worth having a look around to find something that interests you. I did my BSc in Psychology and Counselling with the OU and loved it.
Arden don't have a good reputation. They are large.

Overall profit for 2022 was £21M
They're being chased for payment of debts by HSBC to the point that HSBC have listed it on companies house

Research this for the specific subject you're interested in. e.g. for CS there's a University of London online degree:

Arden is a private, for-profit, non-research uni. That isn't necessarily a condemnation of their teaching, but it's very unusual in the UK and warrants careful investigation.

Hi anonymous,

It's great to hear that you are interested in online learning.

At the University of Huddersfield, we have a dedicated Distance Learning Unit and are developing a growing number of Postgraduate taught courses, some of which hold professional accreditations and are open to applicants from all academic backgrounds. You can find out more on our website: https://www.hud.ac.uk/study/distance-learning/

Good luck with your course search.

Best wishes,

Elliot
