Registering for HCPC after Biomedical Science degree - non IBMS-accredited?
Hi! I'm applying for uni soon and I've known for a while that I want to do Biomedical Science. The unis and courses I most like the look of are places such as Oxford, Sheffield, Warwick, Lancaster etc. However, these courses aren't IBMS accredited (I could do IBMS or not at Lancaster). I've been looking at jobs available currently to see what kind of requirements they need, and basically all the ones I've looked at require HCPS registration. I've also read that you can only be HCPC registered if your degree is IBMS accredited. Is this true? What do my job prospects look like if I don't do an IBMS accredited degree? I thought IBMS accreditation was only needed if you work in the NHS, which I am not necessarily aiming to do (hence why the courses I'm looking at aren't IBMS accredited).
