Working after leaving a course for a short time.

Left a course in university and the new course starts in January. I was wondering if you live with your parents, and don't work because your looking after them does the government try to make you work. Its just a few months whilst I take a break and the idea is giving me stress

If you're claiming benefits, you might be required to look for work. If you're not, then nobody will bother you.
