Does a 22 year old woman who is 4ft8 need a lot of food to restore weight?

Like surely you can't expect them to eat 2000 calories a day and should be less than that?

If you're wanting/needing to "restore weight", then you're going to need to eat considerably more than what you're currently eating. So if your average daily intake is under 2000 calories, then 2000 kcal per day might be a good target. More than that is perfectly fine as well

2000 kcal actually isn't too much (provided you're not just eating celery or something!). Aiming to increase the proportion of energy-dense foods in your diet, rather than just focusing on increasing volume, might be a good way to help combat feeling so full. Add some butter and peanut butter to your toast with jam, put an extra glug of olive oil or butter on your pasta or in the pan when cooking, for example
