Have you worked a second job with your apprenticeship?

I'm a full time apprentice sparkie. I want to do casual work on the weekends, mostly plant operator jobs. Nervous to take the plunge as I'm not sure how new employers will see me. would they hire a casual operator for weekend work.

If you want to short term, and it won't affect your apprenticeship in any way, then I don't see why not. Just check your contract at your apprenticeship. Some employers state that you aren't allowed to have a second job.
Why is it that you want to do it, extra money?
Just make sure you have at least 1 day off a week and enough rest.
