What

What is a proposition of law
Nvm

"It refers to the ratio of a court judgement; i.e. "the reason for the decision" which is the legally binding element of the case and that which creates the precedent. Propositions of law can be expressed in sentences that describe legal requirements as well, like, for example, the defence of provocation cannot be raised where the loss of self control was not reasonable, etc."
