what car should i get?

Hi so i am currently 17 and I am saving up money for a car. My driving test is in January and I am thinking of buying a car around September time. My budget is around 8k, Im looking for a coupe with low annual tax low insurance and a good mpg. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Jake u have to be very careful.. don’t buy the car and then look for insurance.. go to auto trader and find a car u like within budget.. then put that number plate into confused.com and u will get an insurance quote usullay 3000£ plus .. if u want a coupe… settle for something less fancy like a Toyota aygo u will pay just shy of £1800.. depending on who else u put in as a driver.. mind u sometimes u won’t even get a quote as a new driver.. it’s a minefield . Good luck!

Depends where you live, is it a posh wealthy area or a poor area?

Cars id suggest looking into are: Hyundai i10, hyundai i20, Kia picanto, Nissan micra, MG 3.
Id get some insurance quotes for the different cars first to see which is cheaper for you.
