how can I stop hating a subject as soon as I get a bad score?

I recently got an essay back and it put it lightly it was a nasty surprise. To put it lightly I completely misinterpreted the question and my already harsh marking teacher had little issue critiquing every single thing I wrote. I really like the subject but now I can barely even think of it without feeling worthless and horrible. I don't want to go to lessons because they just remind me how awful I did. It's sucked all the enjoyment out for me. How can I move past this?
