Is a phd in human computer interaction design a waste of time?
I recently finished my masters in human computer interaction design and got offered a PHD scholarship from my uni due to my outstanding Msc dissertation. However, i am not sure i want to accept it as it seems like a waste of time (4 years) since i am not interested in pursuing an academia career in the future. On the other hand, i also feel like i am making a big mistake by not accepting the offer.. any thoughts?
Trust your gut instinct and put your own ambitions first. 
If you are very interested in the subject and have full funding, doing the PhD won't be a waste.
