Mental Health Nursing abroad

Can a Mental Health Nurse work abroad as in USA, Australia etc

I am not sure if it only applies to general nursing.
I know US is very restrictive, as they train as general nurses with MH as a post-qualifying specialisation, and so need base training in obs, medical, child nursing etc. UK MH training no longer meets that, but you could possibly look at New Zealand or Australia as I think they may recruit UK MH nurses

Mental health nursing is on NZ's green list and Australia's skilled migrant list. You will have to complete a skills audit/competencies assessment when you apply.
