Look at facilities (workshop, work space, etc.), staff and their specialisms, field trips, the work students are producing (search for end-of-year shows), etc.

Then think about where you could live for the duration of your degree. Compare accommodation costs and availability, transport costs, entertainment, clubs and societies, etc. Go to the offer-holder days next term and don't make a decision until May as every year we see students on TSR who regret making their choices early.

Hey Anonymous,
Congratulations, that's great! Building on what @normaw has said, I think a combination of course, campus, accommodation and living costs is a good approach to take. I'd start by checking out the modules on offer at both unis (you can find Reading's here) to see what you think - at Reading you can take some extra-curricular ones too, so outside of your school. Definitely also have a look at the student life and accommodation pages at both too to make sure you have an idea of where you'll be living and studying, and what kind of events and societies the uni can offer you, as studying is about more than just your degree! You may also want to chat to current Architecture student Katie to find out on a more personal level what to expect from studying Architecture at Reading.

Most importantly, don't rush into a decision. We have an offer holder day in February coming up which will be a great way to get some hands-on experience of the department yourself, and I'm sure UAL will offer similar events too!

If you have any other questions about studying here at Reading, please don't hesitate to ask!
