Eligibility Help?

I am in the process of applying to universities in England for doctoral study in 2024. I am a UK national and was born in Scotland. However, I have lived in England for the past four years. I have been ordinarily resident for the past year, and lived here for study proposes the three years prior to that. I intend to live in England during and beyond my PhD, but I'm unsure if I would be eligible for SFE due to my nationality.
Hi itsel,

Based on what you have said you should be eligible for SFE funding for your doctoral course as you have a gap between living here for the purposes of study and ordinary residency so you would now meet the 3 years residency requirements. If you are a UK national the funding domicile you apply for would be based solely on your residency in the UK nations

Thanks,
Calum
