How to get a job while at Kingston University

Now it won’t come as a surprise to anyone that the university lifestyle can definitely be an expensive one- especially at the moment!

For many of you this will mean having to work alongside study to truly get the most out of your uni years, which is what I and many do at this University.

There are a couple of options when job hunting, applying online or in person for jobs is popular especially if you’re after retail or a cafe job. If you are looking for those types of jobs, then Kingston is ideal as there are a huge variety of shops and restaurants that are always hiring.

Another option which I have found to be the best for me is to work for the University as a student ambassador. Becoming a student ambassador is perfect if you’re looking for something a little bit more flexible around your studies to bump up your funds!

As an ambassador, you can apply online for a number of opportunities each year, such as working open days, visiting schools and even permanent roles. With good pay, flexibility and the chance to socialise with students outside of your course, being a student ambassador is the perfect opportunity! I really enjoy being a student ambassador and getting to grow in the role while experiencing a variety of opportunities.
