Cambridge International Islamic Studies (9488) exam structure, etc?

I'm currently studying the A level Islamic studies (9488), however I'm not sure how to structure my answers and there isn't much information on the criteria. Is it similar to the religious studies exam question structure?

I also wanted to know if anyone sat all four papers at the end of the course or if they split them over the two years (papers 1&2 and then papers 3&4), which is better? If anyone can offer some guidance, it would help a lot! :/
