If you haven't already found out, I was at the offer holders day and they spoke about this as a few people were wondering the same thing - at the end of the year you choose what you want to do for the next 3 years, e.g jewellery, textiles, fine art etc then you just automatically go into that, so you don't need to apply or anything, as long as you've passed everything.
When you're making your choice, you need to select 2 - a first and second choice so that if the first choice is full etc, you will have a back up.
