Is choosing mandarin and French crazy

I'm passionate for both subjects however I only have had my click moment for French but not mandarin. I wanna learn both but everyone says I'm crazy and I might fail I'm scared. Am I crazy? Will I die? Is this a bad idea? Is this mangable?

Is this for GCSE or A Level? And are you fluent at either? Mandarin is definitely harder if you aren't fluent and will be more time consuming so do take into account. I did Cantonese and French for GCSE but only because I am from Hong Kong so Cantonese is native but for French it can be quite simple and do try not only learn French from the textbook but from social media on French books (just try not to take on the informal versions like Je n'aime pas and J'aime pas as those are very easy to pick up as soon as you start)

not really to be honest🙂 personally I think doing different languages is good, but it all depends on you. if you want to do it. go for it!
