Can you speak Welsh? If it comes to selecting between you and a Welsh speaker, they would choose the latter most of the time, even if they score below you.

I applied for biochemistry in Wales, has anyone seen any stats for Welsh applications? I'm struggling to decide whether it's likely to be more competitive or less.
I'm not a Welsh speaker but I've said I would happily learn. Not sure if that counts for anything.
