Student finance disability distance learning

Hi all

I have started a uni course and it has been so stressful and impacted me badly trying to sort a maintenence loan. I am undertaking a distance course as I have ADHd and drop out of everything get social anxiety and am constantly distracted. I left school at 13 and college I dropped out 3 times. However at home I amazed to get my a levels now moving on to my degree.

I have sent through evidence as asked from my diagnosis start of this year and also been approved DSa through student finance which give me some useful tools for my laptop.

Wil I now received my student finance ? As I am struggling to get by as I am also a single parent with 3 children?

Can someone assist please?

Thanks

Jess

Hi Jessica,

If you've sent evidence then you'll be updated once this is processed. We do advise 4-6 weeks as a general timescale. You can track your application with our processing timescale via here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/sfe-current-application-timescales or via your account here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a4p4IP1lzo
Thanks, Jason

18th January was the last time but sent my diagnosis before that. I have been awarded dsa so have things that will help me at home, however I have heard nothing regarding my student finance, should I call and check for an update? As I do need money to live on and am struggling.

Thanks
