History A Level, do I have to memorise these?

In my textbook, there are different extracts with historians views on the history. Am I supposed to remember these to include them in my essay answers?

If I do, does it get me into a higher band?
I'm an AQA student, we were told not to worry about them. They won't harm you to include them in your essays, and if you want to use them to sharpen an argument then sure, but your essay style and how you select and use evidence is much more important. Interpretations are hard though
