Handing in CVs to shops and petrol stations

How do you go about doing it? Can you just leave it on the till if you don't want to speak or if no one is there? what do you say? do you have to ask for the manager or can you leave it with a normal employee?
You walk in and hand in your CV.

God people are legitimately stupid these days.

the questions that followed the first one are the bulk of what I asked, the first question is merely an informal sentence starter/introduction

Not every shop will take a CV from you in person as vast majority of companies now doing everything on-line.

Wee local shops etc will be ideal for you
