Why study at LJMU

Can someone tell me some good stuff abut this uni plz
Hi there,

I am a final year international student at John Moores University. This university is known for its inclusivity and diversity. The professors are easy going and are always happy to help. Liverpool is also a nice student city where there is lots to do on your free time. Grocery shops are also a walk from near the university if you do decide to live near campus.

Hope that helps and if you have any more questions please reply to this thread!

Hi,

There are loads of great things about studying at LJMU! What sort of course are you considering?

There is a great sense of community at LJMU, especially with our Student Union. We have loads of societies to join, from Taylor Swift to Anime. The campuses are accessible. The libraries are open until late, which have computers and study spaces. We have loads of services to help with student life, such as Student Advice and Wellbeing, Careers, and Sports.

As a student in Liverpool, there are loads of amazing opportunities in terms of nightlife and socialising. The uni is surrounded by restaurants, pubs and theatres. The city centre has loads of shops and activities, and it's a short walk from uni. The transport in Liverpool means it's easy to travel across the city, and other places.

Hope this helps.

The societies are good, but also the diversity depends on the course you’re doing ,so if you’re In engineering, expect no diversity or very little ,you can feel like an outsider very easily if you’re different.the teachers are good and try to help, but if you are an ethnic minority, you have to try your hardest to fit in and come across as friendly and relatable,in my experience

Hi! I’m a final year environmental health student and have really enjoyed my time at the uni! The staff are lovely and incredibly helpful if I ever need anything and the city itself is amazing! The uni has a variety of events in throughout the year and societies to join so there is always something to do! If you have anything your specifically interested in then I can try and find some more information for you!
