Oxford Funding: How does it work?

Hello! I just received an offer and I had a few questions about Clarendon and funding at Oxford in general that I was hoping someone could help me out with. Apologies in advance if these are really basic questions.

Is there a way to find out if you were nominated for the scholarship or is that classified information? Someone on another thread said that they emailed the department. Is that advisable?

Also, does accepting your offer before you've gotten funding take you out of the running? (I'm guessing probably not but I just wanted to make sure!) I have till mid-April to accept my offer and I'm trying to figure out everything I can/should do before doing that. I had submitted an open application and those take longer to be matched with colleges, I think. Do open applicants get considered for all college scholarships they might be eligible for?
