boy in spanish class

theres this guy in my spanish class that ive known for 5 months (since september, gcse spanish) and as of recent, every time he sees me he goes "HELLO ANON, MY SPANISH PARTNER!" (you can tell its genuine) and he even smiles, and he's cute, do you think this sudden change in behaviour could mean he likes me? because i may like him as well
he's never said hi outside of class before
