HELP!!! Coursework on the Blitz/Evacuation

I originally intended to look at the social impact of the Blitz on Britain, and whether there was a 'Blitz spirit' or whether it is myth/propaganda.

I then decided (due to the word count limit) to look only evacuation, and whether it overcame social division.

I'm really nervous now, and feeling dreadful about it.

I've got around 2500 words but it's not very good to be honest and a bit superficial - my teacher had a look a few months ago.

I've looked at things like race, nationality, social class, religion as themes - how experiences were influenced by them, through social prejudices.

Had two other major courseworks in the past few weeks so it's been put off a bit, and now it's really daunting.

I really, really need a good mark on this, as I only had a decent B in history last year and am aiming for an A - the other two exams are difficult too.

Has anyone looked as this sort of thing before?
Can you recommend a book?
Can anyone help me out, on what else I should look at, or even proof-reading a draft for me next Wednesday/Thursday?

Thanks.

Final draft is due in next Friday!
