Hey everyone,

I just need to briefly know what effect weight can have on resting heart rate. Like would someone who's overweight have a lower or higher resting heart rate? And why?

It only needs to be really brief, just anything anyone knows would be great! I can't believe I've left my coursework this late again!!!!!!!! :frown:

Your fitness level plays a large part in your resting heart rate. Overweight people are generally unfit - hence overweight - and so would in general have a higher resting heart rate. This would be because the heart has to pump more blood around and if the person is unfit, each beat would not pump enough to have a low resting heart rate.
