Positive discrimination is an oxymoron, and the debate on either side is a smokescreen; how about improving the standards of education for all publicly schooled children. California is currently cutting it's "non-essential" academic programs!
And no one as yet has touched on the affirmative action Ivey league universities currently employ (their overwhelming preference for the children of alumni).
