cheers  so would 2 82s be good enough for an A* or not??

depends, if calculator papers similar to this one (hard) then the overall mark for an A* would be 168-172. if the calculator paper's easier then the overall marks for an A* will go up to 174-176. But, u should try your very best in the calculator paper.
I think i need 90-100 marks in calculator paper so, I am gonna revise like craazzy for the calculator paper, to get an A*!

Grade: A* A B C D
Nov 2010: 170 136 102 68 42
June 2010: 176 141 103 66 39

this years grade boundaries should be low to about 4-6 marks considering it was a hard paper.

Thanks so much, I tried to look on the internet, but I couldn't find it.
Thanks again.

As Arsey mentioned, the boundaries for papers before 2007 were quite different because of coursework which dragged them down, so they aren't going to be anything like that this year.

They've still got to be pretty low I would of thought. I was consistently getting 90+ on past papers and from looking at the answers to this one I think I barely scraped 80.

No-one knows what is coming up for definite. You can only make an educated guess based on past papers and the paper on Monday.
do edexcel give e.c.f marks, say for the mass question, if you had calculated the area wrong but then times it by 200 and then by 8 would you still get say 4 out of 5 marks?
10. Mass of a prism
38.4 kg (5 marks)

Mr M, I made a counting error, and worked it out as 48.4; but could I still get some method marks?

Greensleeves is completely correct! If you are worried, I would suggest revising everything as much as you can but maybe pay closer attention to the aforementioned topics.

Good luck everyone!

depends, if the fridays paper harder then u might just get an A*. But, i would advise u to try your best to achieve what u want.
considering calculator paper was hard and if fridays papers hard i think :
A*=168-170
If fridays paper's easy then A*=174-176
