"Harder exams" is a double edged sword. The exam is harder, but the A, B and C boundaries will be lower, because more people will have done badly.
However, I agree that a "normal" exam is quite enough already without examiners making it tougher
Why are they doing that though? It's getting so frustrating, they've changed it up enough from last year, it's getting super irritating because it feels it's just so impossible to ever complete. I can't wait to be done with them
****. I hated it. AQA have definately stepped it up this year, well all exam boards have. AQA chem 1 was awful too. Biol1 was pretty tricky, well the 'passage' was about aspirin and i spent a good 10-15mins trying to figure out if it was a competitive or non competitive inhibitor as they wrote "permanently binds"( so non competitive) then it said another thing that suggested it was competitive (active site). I come on here to find out that other people were just as confused. The questions were phrased weirdly toooooooooo.
Now im dreading BIOL4. Hate life.
Is it more HSW questions or just the way they phrase their questions? - because that's always been a problem I'm sure you'd have done fine, I've got BIOL2 Wednesday :/

It sucks, I totally agree. My physics exam on Thursday was horrible - my catholic teacher called it "a nasty bugger"..
I mean, everyone has it the same, and everyone hates a difficult exam. What is nice is just to get them over with (although I still have 2 exams :/ ) the feeling of relief is at least a little compensation I guess.
