Yes. As long as it's been shown on British tele, you can talk about it. That's usually the general rule for all TV.

Book spoiler: Only read the first two books, but I've come to know the R+L=J theory. As the TV shows haven't been showing the same clues as the books, will the eventual revealing of R+L=J have the same impact on TV viewers? Surely the shock-value is something the writers have to think about. Doubt majority of the TV viewers even know who R (and to a lesser extent, L) are.

Thanks, yeah wasn't sure I could say 'Red Wedding' without people jumping down my throat. I had no idea that was based on a real event in history.

I suppose those struggling through the books can wait for the series. Some things do get changed but it should cover the most important plot points.

It's just too awkward. I have to wait for everyone to sleep and watch it on record after midnight, and accept the fact that I'm going to have a nap in my lecture the next morning. Phone off from 9pm onwards to avoid any spoilers that Monday.
