How is the night-life like in Plymouth?

I have always felt that places like Plymouth have been quite isolated and unlikely to have any good party life. I want to have a good freshers and make lots of friends.

So it the night-life really dull?

The town is full of Royal Navy.

Union Street is a sad shadow of what it used to be. Barbican is all gentrified but I dare say you can start at Jaspers and work your way to the street. Otherwise I hear Mutley is ok for the students.

I went out on North Hill last night and it was awesome, the drinks were cheap, loads of deals on.

I really recommend the dog and duck, that bar is amazing :biggrin:
