are briefs in fashionable for men in late twenties ?

i am 28 years old and have always worn briefs my girlfriend also aged 28 thinks they are really cool and she never wants me to wear boxers, but when i am in the changing rooms i feel like i am the only guy that wears them, and sometimes i get a bit of teasing by college students. are they fashionable for guys in their late twenties, or are they considered childish for guys in that age range ?

Why does it matter what others think? it may be less common to wear briefs but doesn't mean they are "uncool"
