English + Scottish maintenance loan?

Can I apply for two maintenance loans, one in Scotland and another in England?

I am starting a degree in Scotland this September and I am worried about finance. I'm eligible for a student loan from SAAS but wondered if I could also apply for a small loan from the student loans company in England. My mother lives there and my father also has an address in England. I would rather borrow slightly more now and have to pay off more later than need to find more work at this stage of my studies. I am considering the possibility of undertaking a second long distance degree (for career reasons) whilst at university and borrowing slightly more would help me to do this. I could get by by working a few shifts a week and using my savings from the summer but a higher loan would help me a lot with my career plans.
No you can't. You can only to where you normally reside.

Thanks, is that a rule or is that just what normally happens?

It's actually a rule and I can't see how you'd be able to apply to both. It has to be where you've resided for the last 3 years, for reasons other than education.
