Email the department and ask?

I've given that a try, but I got an automatic reply about how busy they were, so I thought I'd post on here just in case anyone knew.

Best info I could find was in the PG prospectus which says

Start dates
Most MA/MSc/MRes/Diploma programmes
start in October. It is possible to start studying
for research degrees at any point during the
year, although for formal and administrative
purposes your study period will be taken as
starting from the first day of the month in
which you start your studies.

The general term dates are linked from the PG pages as well. I did try to find moving in dates for postgrad accommodation at the university as that might be an indication. Hmm. I'll let you know if I find anything.

edit. The postgrad study FAQ says

5. Can I start my course at any time?

For taught courses, this is not possible, because modules run during University terms. Courses begin either in late September or early October. Start dates for research degrees are more flexible in many departments.

Term dates are available on the web, although full-time graduate students are normally required to be in attendance at the University for most of the calendar year.

So, yeah, not very specific but I guess they'll probably let you know what your exact course dates are eventually. Who knows.
