how many did you get accepted for?

All three, but for whatever reason Japanese was AAB instead of ABB. But I plan to firm Korean with Japanese anyway so it doesn't really bother me.

This will be a list of some of my favourites!

Taiwanese:
Jay Chou- Among my favourite songs by him Qi Li Xiang (Orange Jasmine), Dao Xiang (Fragrance Rice), Ting Mama de hua (Listen to your mother)...
Michael Wang- Tong Hua (Fairytale)
Hua Er Yue Dui- Xi xua xua
Wu Ke Qun- Da She Tou
F.I.R
Leehom Wang

Hong Kong:
Janice-Tai Kor
Charmaine Sheh- Kom sam kai (Beyond the realm of conscience) theme song
Justin Lo
Eason Chan
Anita Mui
Aaron Kwok

Korean:
Super Junior & Super Junior-M
Dong Bang Shin Ki
WonderGirls- Nobody, Tell Me
SHINEe- Stand by me (Boys Over Flowers OST)
SS501

Japanese:
Utada Hikaru- Flavours of life
Shimatani Hitomi- Viola
Kiroro- Mirai E
K- Only Human (One Litre of Tears theme song)
Kou Shibasaki
Otsuka Ai- Peach (Hana Kimi OST)
Kazuki Kato- Warning

Love the Taiwanese you have mentioned here! They are awesome! If only jay Chou's pronounciation is better, then it will be perfect. Otherwise, it is still good. For Hua Er Yue Dui, it has been so long I have not listened to their songs, i feel like dancing everytime I hear their Xi Xua Xua. Awesome awesome song!
2NE1

That is all.
After trying and failing to revise for weeks I have finally found something to keep me motivated: Listening to IU! I promise to get the grades so I can go to Korea and meet you!! ;_;7 <3

I don't think the London dates have been released yet? Seoul is February 4th and 5th, so I'm guessing March~April time. Fingers crossed for tickets!

You know, i was gonna do Korean at uni but decided against it. I dunno.. Korean just doesnt seem as employable as other languages.
But anyhow it would still be useful.. you know.. in teh chance i get to meet SHINee or TVXQ.. i could marry one of them? xD

ahh you're a dbsk fan!!!!
there dont seem to be many here...
Guise. I'm getting a travel scholarship next year (hopefully), so I wanted to know which one would be more worth going to; Korea or Japan.

I enjoy both the native culture, language and pop-culture, but if you have any experiences, tell me~ [hopefully flights are cheap and I can go to both]

2NE1 = awesomeness :cool:
I love SNSD and SISTAR too! ^O^ sistar are very underrated :[

yup I know they started selling them  tis awesome, but they are very overpriced, even though they are imports so I am yet to buy any from them :3

mmm, I would teach myself korean in my spare time but I have neither the time or patience :P also language graduates are supposed to be the most employable after medicine graduates, so something as specialist as korean (in this country anyway) would be an awesome degree to have and would open alot of doors!

I generally like all of 2NE1's main songs that they released and promoted. 'I am the best' is my favorite song by them.

Yeah they are very expensive. SISTAR's album cost me £18! Worth it though!

Korean seems worthwhile and enjoyable and I would imagine that there would be a demand for Korean language graduates especially because of the growing importance of South Korea.
The most popular band in China is Phoenix Legend.(This's true!Their songs always occupy top 1-3 in several well-known charts!)
Their type is agriculture-metal ,a unique style on the world.

Id personally pick Korea for culture,
but Japan for more of the tourist-y experience
this might be a stupid question... but is Kpop and all the korean celebs and celebrity culture etc. that is well known like this, ALL of korea or specifically north or south korea?

I'm not understanding your question properly? Do you mean like where is it from and based? If so it would be South Korea. As the North does not allow freedom or exercising of the mind. Hope i answered your question

yes that was pretty much my question... i was confused because everyone was just saying "korea" and i didn't think north korea would really allow this kinda stuff...

Um... Are you trying to ask "Is all of 'K-Pop' and the celebrity culture from the North or South?"

If that's what you're asking, then South Korea is the base of all the celebrity culture. In terms of national and historic culture, both North and South share the same.
ahh siwons in london!!!
