how to go into US to practice medicine?

if i get a medicine degrre from a british medical school, what is the process to qualify for practice in the us, if u want to work for example as a surgeon there?

It starts with a series of exams on the search function, though I believe it then moves on to the USMLE, and some applications from thereon.

I think you have to start over in terms of specialist training also if you go there.

In short, you'll have to sit an exam. Obviously.

Being a bit pedantic there...

I have two cousins (Egyptian Grads) who are on residency programs for anaesthesia in NYC. Admittedly they didn't make it onto their first choice of surgery and had/have to work very hard but they are still set for a good career in a popular location.
