I think as long as you've passed, even if it's not the final degree mark you were hoping for, you can't retake. Individual universities may make exceptions for extenuating circumstances though. Best to talk to your uni.

Thanks, yeah I guess so was just wondering what generally happens, if you fail the year?

It's up to each university.

You can't normally retake final year modules, but if you manage to fail the entire year, they may allow a full-year resit.

If you're really worried, contact your Personal Tutor or your school's office for information, because each institution may have its own policies. Do mention any extentuating circumstances.

If you don't get the response you want from this, then contact your Students' Union Representation Centre to go through the Academic Appeals and Offences Committee, mentioning and providing proof of any extentuating circumstances. You'll need your results before this though really.
