Advanced Higher Music Question :)

Im the only person in my class doing advanced higher (the rest are all doing higher) and I was wondering if anyone could tell me, basically, what you have to do in adv higher and how it differs from higher? whats the essay thing all about? all help appreciated, thank you muchly xx

Well, I'm still on higher but my friend takes advanced higher so I'll try to help.

Listening: there are no new concepts, though obviously the questions are harder (don't know exactly how). Still 40% of your final grade. You have to do a "comparative commentary" of two pieces that's about 1500 words.

Composition: still pass/fail, and still 2 contrasting pieces. Now needs to be 3 minutes instead of 2.

Performing: Now you have to be grade 5 rather than grade 4. You first instrument performance is at least 15 minutes, and second instrument 10 minutes. (I'm assuming you're not doing music with technology - if you are, I don't know enough about it to help you.)
