my college has a policy that all exams are taken in june, no january exams for individual units, so the entire syllabus is examined in june.
is this a good thing? my teachers say that there are pros and cons to this, but i can't spot any pros..
cons: - you have to wait an entire year for a resit
- you have a heavier workload (very heavy)
- if you opt for a resit, you have to take the AS exams on top of the entire a2 which sounds insane
- taking exams during january will motivate you to study (its better to say "crap, its a month before the jan exams, have to revise for half my as" than ".... crap, its a month before june exams, have to revise EVERYTHING".
pros: ummm...
im really confused, my exam boards are:
maths- edexcel
biology- salters nuffield advanced biology edexcel
physics- salters horners advanced physics edexcel
chemistry- salters nuffield advanced chemistry OCR
