How soon to claim for damaged phone on insurance..

I got out contents, accidental damage, gadget + phone insurance from Endsleigh for my student house about 5 days ago..

..today my iPhone sim tray snapped in the phone and apparently nipped off one of the sim connectors, basically it wont work as a phone.

Is it suspicious if I claim it this soon after getting the insurance out, or do they not worry about stuff like that..

If it's truly a genuine case, you don't need to worry.

If you need to claim then do it, no point having insurance if you won't use it. No point having a broken phone either.

Usually they have a minimum period, where you can't claim for 24 hours or so. But if it's longer than that it's fine.

tbh they might be suspicious but you have insurance for a reason, claim ASAP as putting it off will create more problems.
