congratulations, im waiting to hear from brighton , NTU and Durham

I have recently applied to Roehamton, Kingston and Durham for Primary School Teaching and Southampton and Birmingham for Education Studies. I am really worried about my application to Durham as I feel my work experince is not recent enough and I have applied with predicted grades of ABB, which I worry will not be higher enough as the course is so competitive. i was just wondering how soon after you recieved the interview offer and how much experience you have?
Thankyou very much!

I've applied to Roehampton, Winchester, Brighton, Chichester and Durham... got interviews at all of them apart from Durham who I'm waiting to hear back from.. has anyone else heard back from them? I sent my UCAS off around the 8th/9th November.
Had my Roehampton interview the other week so if anyone wants to know anything just ask
My Winchester one's in a couple of days, does anyone know anything about the kind of questions they are likely to ask or anything about the book presentation?
Also, any info about Chichester and Brighton interviews would be so helpful..
Thanks

I have applied to Roehampton and Durham aswell, what question did they ask in the Roehampton interview? I have applied tyo durham but I am now regretting it as I think my work expeience was too long ago and have arranged some more but cant decide whether to let them know about it? Thankyou very much
If you are applying to Brighton for primary Ed you get a big ICT assignment at the start of the year, it has taken me like a month to complete! (I am a first year doing primary education! lol)

hey

I'm thinking of applying to Brighton for primary ed.! How do you like it? What made you choose Brighton? Do you know if theirs a Christian Union?

This would be a great help if you could answer some of my questions! Thank you!:colondollar:

have you heard anything from roehampton? im really annoyed with winchester as was offered an interview a while ago and had to request another date due to already have an interview with chichester and still have not heard anything back from them!
with chichester, its a paired interview which was fine- asking about why and your experiences and your specialised subject. english was a bit weird but maths was fine

Roehampton said at my interview that we won’t know anything until like Jan/Feb ish time because of the government funding changes…
I’ve got my Chichester interview in a few weeks, is Maths really fine? Like what kind of stuff was in it? When you say English was weird.. what do you mean?
Thanks

How did you find out you had an interview? Did you get an email through mydundee? When did you send off your UCAS? Sorry for all the questions, applied for dundee too.

Haha it's cool. I got an email today to my normal email address. I sent my application in September I think. When did you send yours? Where else have you applied?

I've had interviews at UWE and York St John now. I've not heard back from UWE but they said it could be January time :frown:
York st John have put my application in a 'hold' category! They should just reject me now, rather than putting me in the stupid category and making me wait, to then reject me in the end :frown:
got a conditional offer from bath-spa for education studies and interview from oxford brookes for 8th feb for primary education today  what a christmas present.

York St John did that with quite a few people last year, it's just cos they have applications to come through, so need to know how many offers they can realistically give. UCAS deadline isn't for another month or so! Good luck!

I love Brighton! I love the city so much, and the course is really engaging and interesting. For lectures you are just in a classroom with the same class for each lecture. There are no lectures in the lecture theatres.. which is good because it means everyone is properly involved. The classes give lots of oppurtunity for discussion and everyone is very supportive of each other. For our ICT Assignment everyone was very open to giving each other help. We get to do interesting activities in our lectures to experiment with the content that we will be teaching. I love it and would definitely apply to Brighton  I have no idea if there is a Christian union, but I am sure there is  And I chose it because its got a really good teaching reputation and also because the city has such a great atmosphere!
The interview seemed quite hard, bearing in mind that so many people apply there.. so it was a bit tense but as long as you put in lots of effort beforehand (being clued up on education issues) then you should be fine

i have an oxbrookes one on the 1st and it says i have to teach something that interests me to the group. what kind of things did other people teach?
and what questions do they ask?

I'm so nervous about it!
