Living Alone or Living with Parents

At current I am living with my parents, I have plans to go to uni next September and rent a studio flat. Initially I was planning to do this for 9 months and claim I am living with parents (outside term time) and therefore am dependant on them. But now I am thinking I maybe able to claim I live in the studio permanently and claim I am not dependant on my parents.
Is is possible to claim I am not living at home, even if I am only 19 and haven't lived alone before?

It doesnt work like that unfortunately, unless you've been living independently from you parents for a number of years you will still be classed as 'dependant' on them for the purposes of student finance.
You need to have been independent for 3 years to qualify as independent or over 25. You will be assessed off your parents' incomes now.
Why do you want to be classed as independent?

you get the maximum loan.
It's a bloody mission to be classed as independent. I left home in 2005 and have JUST managed to prove to student finance that I am not dependent on my father.
